Fascinating quote about love from C.S.Lewis
“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.”- C.S. Lewis

Any advertisements that appear on my blog are presented by Google, and I don't personally recommend whoever or whatever is being advertised. I have no idea what Google will paste to my blog, so I am just as surprised as you might be with what appears occasionally. :)

Helping out with the Queensland Floods
Please contact if you wish to help out with the Queensland flood relief efforts. If you are not in a position to volunteer, maybe you could provide temporary shelter for a person or animal that has been displaced, donate food to flood affected families or animal shelters, provide entertainment or comfort for those in evaculation centres or give money to the disaster relief fund. If you have any other suggestions on ways to assist or comments regarding the flood situation including your own experiences or photos, please feel free to post them below. Good luck and keep safe!

Don’t you think, Detective?” - Sonny, I Robot * “I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand. What is the purpose of a resolution?
Resolutions give us the opportunity to "remake" our lives. To free ourselves of negative patterns and habits, impel our lives towards greater success and see ourselves afresh. Whether you hold to your resolutions or not, remember that your resolutions are a sign you are willing to look at what needs to be improved in your life and open to the idea of self-betterment, and one day, sooner or later, you will do what is necessary to make yourself and your life better, whether it is this year or the next. Happy New Year and good luck in making 2011 your best year yet! warmest wishes, Sarina
