What is the purpose of a resolution?

Resolutions give us the opportunity to "remake" our lives. To free ourselves of negative patterns and habits, impel our lives towards greater success and see ourselves afresh. Whether you hold to your resolutions or not, remember that your resolutions are a sign you are willing to look at what needs to be improved in your life and open to the idea of self-betterment, and one day, sooner or later, you will do what is necessary to make yourself and your life better, whether it is this year or the next. Happy New Year and good luck in making 2011 your best year yet! warmest wishes, Sarina

Nature Quotes

"Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair." - Kahlil Gibran
“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls.” - Mother Teresa
“In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful.” - Alice Walker
“Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for they speak with the voice of God.”- George Washington Carver
God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone, but on trees and flowers and clouds and stars. ~Martin Luther
"I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes." - e.e. cummings

“Fashion your life as a garland of beautiful deeds.” Buddha

Selection of wonderful inspirational quotes - "Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer."- Albert Camus
"I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do." - Helen Keller
"The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn, the bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities." - James Allen
